Tell Tale Signs That You Might Have Cancer

Known by all as the one true killer of the human species, with little no cure available, cancer is a scary diagnosis. Some are scared to even check for the signs because of what it would mean to have cancer. But if you check early enough, cancer can be prevented or at least lessened in effect.

Cancer is a disease that affects many parts of the body. From the brain and nervous system to the skin and organs, it’s a disease that has many symptoms, depending on which form of cancer you may have. Usually it involves pain or odd symptoms that come as a result of a tumor growing large, and pressing on vital organs of the body as it grows ever larger.

The symptoms of cancer can be so diverse, that it can be as odd as having to urinate too frequently. In this case, the tumor is pressing on the bladder of the victim, causing odd problems with going to the bathroom. It might also be a symptom if you are going to the bathroom often, only to find that you don’t actually need to go. Skin cancer is easily spotted. If you have been in the sun a lot, even just as a child and you are now an adult, then you will constantly be in need of skin checks. Look for any lumps that have no color, or are brown and dark colored. These lumps could be small tumors. Luckily, this is one of the easiest cancers to spot and treat.

Harder to spot cancers would include prostate and breast cancer. Although breast cancer is commonly thought to afflict only females, it can also be present in males. Prostate cancer is a more serious problem for males which females can’t contract. Both gender issues must be checked regularly with a doctor, as warning signs don’t often come soon enough for anyone to spot on their own. Not all symptoms of cancer are bad in the eyes of some. Weight loss is one symptom that women and some men might actually enjoy, and therefore, not notice. If you notice that you are losing weight despite eating correctly over a long period of time, it’s time to see the doctor. Other eating problems like not feeling hungry like you once were is another possible symptom that could hint at digestive cancer.
